When Will TLC Change their Name?

I've always called MTV Moron Television so they will never need a name change.

I've joked for years that MTV now means "Miscellaneous Television"...

If MTV ever wanted to target adults, that could actually work, although eventually I'd see them rebranding as "Misc".

They could be the Terribly Lucky Channel, and show bios of undeserving celebrities, lottery winners, and videos of people who, for example, wrecked or fell out of planes and lived.

They are the "Terribly Lucky Channel", as in creating millionaires out of trailer trash. How many shows are based around people celebrated for having children? Is there anything that should be celebrated less than having a child? Nearly everyone can do it, some just choose to do it more responsibly than others.

The last time I watch TLC was in 1999 when they did their last documentary the 10th anniversary of the Loma Prieta quake and they were formatted like Nova. around 2000 or 2001 I saw a dating show on TLC where Kate Gosselin look alikes and Jon look alikes were doing a reality series on dating thats when I stopped. Also because TLC's dating shows resembled MTV's dating shows in 2001

How about rebranding TLC as "Viva" just like the Canadian Learning Channel recently did?

Actually, what would work even better is the Canadian TV brand "Slice" - although TLC & Slice do not air exactly the same format, it could work - TLC could say "We give viewers a slice of real life."
