I'm not saying Weezer can't get a hit on their own its just with the Lil' Wayne version of the song, I'm sure they'll have a little bit greater success

CHRles said:Keep in mind there's an accoustic Rock element to Travie Mccoy's "Billionaire", which pretty much takes its cues from the remixed version that came out last year to Jason Mraz's "I'm yours". There's a Rock chorus courtesy of Haley Williams on the song "Airplanes", and there's a pure Pop record from Katy Perry. Those are the Top 3 records at the format right now.
There's also an Electro/Dance/Alterna-Pop record courtesy of La-Roux, as well as Dance/Pop from Usher, pure Pop from track Ke$ha, a collaboration featuring two superstar artists (Rihanna and Eminem), a nice crossover R&B/Pop ballad from Shontelle, a hot Rhythmic/Pop record from Jason Derulo, a fine Rhythmic song from Drake, two hot uptempo Dance/Rhythmic/Pop records from Taio Cruz, a pure Pop record from Lady Gaga (whose now a core artist on CHR), an upbeat Dance/Pop record from Enrique, a youthful Pop/Rock record from 3 Oh! 3 and Ke$ha, an Alternative Rock crossover ballad from Paramore, a Teen Pop sensation (Justin Bieber), a Dance record from David Guetta, and a good Rap title from Eminem.
That's the Top 20 at CHR/Pop this week and it makes for a good mix even though you won't find a lot of Rock product in there.

I meant nothing toward your response. Lil Wayne can be substituted with any must-be-on-every-hit hip-hop artist out there...say, Ludacris, Pitbull, Lil Jon, Kanye West....and on and on.
By the way, anyone else hate the term "featuring"? Why not give proper credit? "Apologize" is not Timbaland's song, it is OneRepublic's remixed by Timbaland. Shouldn't it be titled: OneRepublic "Apologize" [Timbaland remix]?

Like You Do-Angel TaylorCan you give examples of a couple of recent Hot AC's that have crossed over into CHR?

I'm sure OneRepublic welcomed the idea of Timbaland remixing (& having his name) in the credits, especially since the version without Timbaland is dryer than a popcorn fart.By the way, anyone else hate the term "featuring"? It's over a month later & the closest thing to a newer Rock hit on the iTunes Chart is "Animal" by Neon Trees. In fact there's more crossover Country than ever on there people are buying for $1.29 a song.
