Where is CW going in the Seattle Market?

Maybe Univision can buy these stations or affiliate with Kvos 12 kbcb 24 or kffv 44 or purchase low power station such as KUSE-LP.

Besides Univision doesn’t have a lot of affiliate station groups besides entravision, Lieberman, Sinclair, Tyler media group, Morgan Murphy, media vista group, and pinnacle media. The majority of Univision affiliates belongs to entravision

The original interest in Fisher stations becoming Univision affiliates was the ability to be on the Fisher stations in Eastern Washington, where the Hispanic population was a much higher ratio than Seattle/Tacoma. Without coverage in those areas, I'm not sure the juice (purchasing and operating) in Seattle is worth the squeeze for Univision.

I think Weigel might actually switch KVOS to Telemundo and add it to a subchannel of KFFV as well. That way they cover both Seattle and Vancouver.

Weigel has a lot of secondary Telemundo affiliations, like they do in Milwaukee.

Why wasn’t there any press release about this on Sinclair’s website? I doubt CW is moving to KUNS
Seriously?? Did you skip post #75 of this thread?

Think about it for a second: You're going to be removing minority-language programming and replacing it with something more traditional. You promote CW AFTER Univision is gone.

There is a broader play here and that is that KOMO can add more local news and clear additional sports and do something similar to what KING/KONG and KCPQ/KZJO. CW is not the biggest piece but it give them programming for prime (which doesn't really matter that much anymore) From a REVENUE side a duopoly makes a lot of sense.

Absolutely. There are opportunities to bump an occasional crime drama and insert even a replay of KOMO news. Especially when it comes to 2024 clearing political.

Do you know who announced this? If you go to Sinclair's website, there are no press releases. It only shows it on Wikipedia. I will believe it when I see it.
I'm sorry, but what the F is wrong with you? There have already been two posts showing documentation of the change in this very thread. Go back to posts 73 and 75. The attachment in post 73 is a friggin press release with even a contact name at Sinclair.

Why isn’t this press release on Sinclair’s website is all I am asking. Where did this press release come from? Go on Sinclair’s website and look on press releases. It doesn’t show this press release unless they didn’t want to make it public

They sent out a PRESS RELEASE. A PRESS RELEASE is a notice sent to THE PRESS, for the purposes of announcing the change. Just because they didn't include the PRESS RELEASE on their website, doesn't mean the announcement isn't valid.
Also, on post #75, a screenshot announced the programming change to the Federal Communications Commission.
Short of banging on your door and handing you a copy of the PRESS RELEASE, I'm not sure what else can convince you.
Oh, and if you opened the attached PRESS RELEASE, you would see the contact name and E-mail for the person at Sinclair that sent out the PRESS RELEASE. If you're still (Lord only knows why) skeptical, you can contact them for confirmation.
Now come on, you can't be this obtuse?

It seemed real to me. I think they didn’t release it publicly because they want to keep it quiet until it happens on January 1st. I wasn’t trying to cause problems. I think Sinclair is doing the right thing switching KUNS to CW because it will give them a strong combo similar to KING-KONG and FOX13 and FOX 13+

What?? Then why would they send out a PRESS RELEASE to the PRESS, if they wanted to keep it quiet?
I wasn’t trying to cause problems.
You aren't causing anything other than the lack of understanding how someone still doesn't believe there's going to be a change at KUNS. It was right there in writing...twice.

In fairness, what press? I looked high and low and didn't find it anywhere but the link provided here that I asked about, and went so far as to write the contact at the bottom of the press release linked earlier in the thread and never heard back. I'm going by the FCC filing, not by the press release, in listing it on RabbitEars.

Please scroll back to post #73 posted by CarAgencyGuy. Click on the .pdf attachment which has the PRESS RELEASE from Sinclair. As I told Kento, if you don't believe that, then send an E-mail to the Sinclair employee who sent the press release. Maybe then they can assure you of the change.

And the purpose of a press release is to get PRESS. Why wouldn't any publication have proof of this? The Wikipedia info is based off of the post here. Nobody else has seen or published the press release including the Sinclair press archive. And @tripinva has reached out to the employee who did not respond.

I'm not saying it's not happening and have no skin in the game regardless, but you're basing your opinion completely on an anonymous poster. There's many compelling reasons for people to be not convinced.
