Where's Bruce

I've been gone from the Harrisburg market since 2001. I followed the ongoing saga of Bruce Bond's departure from Wink and subsequent legal battle(s) regarding non-compete and then ultimate departure from radio sometime later. Anyone know what Bruce is up to these days? Still in Harrisburg? Any connection to radio? Thanks.

Bruce's first mistake came by assuming he knew something before he set foot in the cab!

HOLY CRAP HE LOOKS OLD!!! What the hell happened to him????

So what's the answer? "Unemployed?" "Retired?" "Freelancing?" "Doing 'Tradio' and reading funeral announcements at a 500-watt AM in McConnellsburg?" or "Hanging around Harrisburg living off his girlfriend & waiting for someone to hire his ass, again?"

I bet that is his true MySpace page. He always said he was married to a lady named Esther but I knew he wasn't. I knew he was gay. He does have a great radio voice though.

If anecdotal rumours are to be believed, he's an episode of "To Catch a Predator" just waiting to happen.

NYC is where BRUCE BOND is. Thats who "Bruce" is. Look at his MySpace page.

Why? The dude ain't working and he's got nothing to contribute. Why should we look at his myspace? To see what he's been doing the past 5 years unemployed? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :-\

It's kind of a bummer to see how this thread has turned out. I didn't know Bruce well enough to even say I "knew" him. But anytime we met, he was always a nice guy. And his impact on radio around here can't be denied. He was good, and he had the numbers to back it up. He did good radio. Whether or not he is gay, has nothing to do with anything. Unless you are the person he's in a relationship with. Whether or not he is working doesn't mean anything. The truth is, WTPA back in the 104 days, wouldn't have been the same without him, and WINK 104 in the 80's and 90's was a monster due in large part to Bruce's show.

I couldn't agree with you more. The day WTPA moved to 93.5 and Bruce stayed at WINK 104, I thought that was the end of Bruce, but through the years he had the numbers to back him up and was a major reason WINK did so well. As for someone's sexual preferences, why does that need to be exploited in public forums...shame on those with the terrible comments.

Agreed, sexuality should have nothing to do with people's opinions of someone. However, what they do with that sexuality (straight or otherwise) is a different subject. I happen to have firsthand knowledge that he likes to prey on underage males in online chatrooms (or at least used to). Unfortunately, my neighbor's little brother was too scared at the time to say anything to anyone.

Man I hope that Bruce gets a good lawyer and sues you for slander. Thats just not right to say something about him and chatroom's. To the person who started this thread, I am sorry that it went awry like this.
