Where's Bruce

Man I hope that Bruce gets a good lawyer and sues you for slander. Thats just not right to say something about him and chatroom's. To the person who started this thread, I am sorry that it went awry like this.

It's only slander if it's not true.

He was talented, but isn't it true that the second he got challenged in the early 2000's, his time was up? Sure, people will say that the Cumulus management wanted him out, but he got a challenge, and his shine was gone.

A great talent can adapt in any situation. Bruce proved that he was in a great situation, but move him out of that comfort zone, and his act didn't work as well. It's a very common situation with radio talent. People close to the situation will always find a way to spin the story in their favor. The management didn't support him. The signal wasn't as strong. They didn't put up billboards. They wouldn't let him doing his show. The truth is, the move to mornings didn't work.

Look at some of the other talent in the market that have moved around and succeeded. RJ Harris has done it all. Nipsey at the X has jumped all over that radio station and if I had to guess is dominant with the younger demos now that 99.3's show went out West and the young demo numbers stopped getting split. Just a guess there.

It has nothing to do with his sexuality, hair color, car he drives, cab he answers questions wrong in, etc. Bruce was a strong talent who had a dominant run, unchallenged, and in one daypart.

That is correct....but...
Bruce hasn't had his day in court yet. At least until the best of my knowledge he hasn't. Until that day happens AND if he is found guilty for doing such a thing he is innocent. So yes he can sue.

It would be the same say a disc jockey calls singer Michael Jackson a child molestor. If Jackson heard it, he too can sue because he was found innocent of the crime in a court of law even if most of the public believes he was indeed guilty.

Two questions: What happened to the "great friendship" that Bruce and Carol Logan of Forever Broadcasting enjoyed. Even after Carol landed in Altoona, they spend many a night on the phone for hours with one another and then, all of a sudden, they were on the outs? Anyone familiar with that deal. Hard to believe that someone would have a hard time getting along with Carol and/or being her friend. And (2): whatever happened to Commander (Tim Burns)? Great guy and a GREAT talent. I usually post on the Altoona/State College section of this site but was interested when I saw Bruce Bond's name. I'm sure many of you have fond memories of Carol. Your loss is Altoona's gain!
