Well I would like to see something done with Earth 105.7, it would be nice if they put it on 103.9 and move the Mexican stuff to 103.3. 103.9's signal has always been better for me. Where I am on one side of Paris Mtn (furman area) reception is awful on a lot of stations. Can get 98.9 good, 102.5 good, 94.5 good, 93.7 good (yuck), but everything else is static laden. I suppose I could put up a rooftop FM Antenna and get better reception. Car reception is ok, just where I live it seems to be nulled out a lot. Anyway does anyone else subscribe to any of Entercom's "newsletters"? I subscribed several years ago to a couple different station's and well here is what they ALL are sending to their listeners on ALL stations, this specific one is from WORD (no talent ass clowns):
"From WORD News:
As a News Radio WORD listener, you're probably aware that we've been working hard for the past couple of years to stay ahead of rapid changes in the radio landscape.
I'm writing now to ask for your opinion. Our goal is to continue to provide the news and information you want and the way that you want it, so I'm inviting you to share your feelings about technology in our annual survey.
You are among a select group of listeners invited to participate and tell us how you use your conventional radio, Facebook, iPods, smartphones, tablets, streaming and the Web to stay connected to news, and updates from News Radio WORD and other sources. Whether you use all these things or not, we really need your opinion.
Your responses will be kept completely confidential, and we will never share your personal information with anyone. We'll only use the information you provide to enhance our service as "News Radio WORD."
Just click the link below to participate in the survey. It’s not the shortest survey, but I hope it will be an interesting way to reflect on your own changing habits as a WORD fan and radio listener. ........"
Just wondered if anyone else received these crazy things? Sounds like they don't have a clue as to what to do with any of those stations. I agree with whoever it was who said Russ Cassel and Bob Mclain were awful talent, I'd say it is more like "no talent ass clowns". I hated the playlist when Bob was on 103, that was an awful oldies station. He can't program worth a damn. And that Russ Cassel, good lord he's awful. It baffles me that anyone in radio, especially talk radio, refuses to use social media. His sidekick Lonzo (AKA "All Caps") has to do all the social media stuff for that station. If you want comedy tune into Russ, he's about went off the deep end anymore. Today he was on there saying that there was a conspiracy going on to put muslims in office, LOL! I mean he was serious as hell about this too, he's too paranoid anymore. I think Lisa Rollins and Lee Rogers are probably doing a better show than Russ. I think eventually 94.5 will do better than WORD in the talk scene. WORD's signal isn't anywhere near as strong or clear as 94.5's.
And then we were talking 93.3 and 93.7 good lord where do you start??? 93.7's playlist must contain 20-30 songs? LOL It's probably more but it seems like they play the same thing over and over and over! Hawk and Tom should have been canned years ago, they are way too old to relate to these high schoolers that listen to that crap on 93.7. 93.3 is the station for rednecks of the worst kind, that station is awful. Talk about no talent ass clowns! The processing is horrid on it and their signal is crap too. It sounds awful, there is no talent on that station, and there is certainly nothing "new" about that station. Greenville deserves way better than what it has in terms of Radio.
I give all my props to Earth 105.7 FM/910 AM and that is because they are doing radio the way it was meant to be, the old traditional way. Real talent, good music, right mix of news, weather, etc. It might trend towards the baby boomers but you can't go wrong with Love and Hudson and Lee Alexander, that's real talent. I sure hope that station can get on a better frequency with more power. We need more "real" radio.
