Who will be the first to flip an FM to talk in Dallas? FREE-FM didn't work but you have to think someone is going to put a traditional news talker on the FM side in DFW.
KEWS 94.9 Did Pretty good despite those AM's. If it wasnt for that Tower Collapse It would probably still be around.NAGantt said:I have trouble thinking that any of the news talk stations would give up their am signals for fm, you look at stations like wbap and krld who have such good am signals that it would be a waste to buy a fm station

I think a talk station on 105.3 would do better than all sports. The rest of the CBS FM's seem to be doing ok, even Jack which has no over head.

I Bet that would work. Like i said about KEWS 94.9. Im surprised no one has tried that since.radioaircheck said:105.3 had a different kind of talk. I am talking about KRLD-AM type of talk. I still think that will work. they ar doing it in Tulsa with KRMG, and that station ahas a very strong AM signal.

Speaking of which did anybody notice that QUALITY ROCK got a 0.7 in May? Over the years I have seen many people ask on this board (and just about every R-I board) "Why don't we have an AAA?". Then when one comes on nobody listens to it.

1) Promote (Ads, billboards, Duke's t-shirts, bumper stickers)
2) Local morning show (nobody likes that P'teetong crap)
3) Play music in the morning
