On June 21, 2005, the day of the CBS-FM rally, the temperature was 95 degrees, and there were only 150 people in attendance (I should know - I was one of them!!)but we didn't give up, and two years and three weeks after that day...

'CBS-FM has its own conundrum to confront, namely that its listeners are just as old today as they were before the station was "Jacked". As for 'RXP, I don't think a station that segues a song by the Strokes with a song by Elton John is meant to last very long in this universe.
Actually, even more to the point, they are 3-4 years older...even worse (no offense meant to anyone!). Hence the increased presence of 80s music on the station, despite the many people that can't seem to accept that. And as for RXP....it's a miracle they've even lasted this long!
And yet, as we're seeing over on the dentist board, the same old "new rock doesn't work" argument is being pulled out to account for RXP's failure, when the clear majority of its music is not even remotely new.
