Bob and Sheri have already been tried twice, and failed twice, here in Nashville. They were on Star 97 and Venus 102.5, and left both stations long before those stations' next format changes. I believe we can safely color them gone!courier37027 said:Eddie Edwards...wait, WSIX did that already.
From the "Where Are They Now?" files: Carl P. Mayfield, Keith Bilbrey, Coyote McCloud would be good local choices. Bill Cody would be a good move if available.
Please, no Rick & Bubba or Bob & Sheri.

From what I've been told, Carl P. Mayfield has burnt too many bridges with most radio folks in Nashville and that most radio people are no longer willing to work with him. Coyote McCloud is in his 60s and dealing with health issues, so even if he were interested in coming back, it would probably only be a couple of years at most and then WSIX/CC would be in the market again for a new morning host. And listening to Bill Cody on 650 WSM, I get the feeling he is happy where he is at and being a part of the Grand Ole Opry family, a claim he could no longer make if he were to leave for another station in Nashville.fireworks said:I heard Carl P Mayfield when he did mornings at KDF, and I was not impressed. They didn't renew his contract because he couldn't pull in the numbers. Granted, I'm not all that impressed with House, either... Keith Bilbrey has the name recognition, Bill Cody - great delivery and high entertainment value, but I don't see them making their mark like House has. And Coyote, while a fine talent, doesn't fit. It's like putting Rick Morino at KDF! We saw how well that worked (no offense, Rick).
Gator Harrison was on Y-107 for a number of years (he may have also been on 107.5 the River for a few years after the switch). I think he may have also done weekends on WSIX before he headed off for Cookeville and the Country Giant.NashvilleNative said:My vote goes to Gator and The Stykman on WGSQ 94.7 out of Cookeville. They have a great morning show; especially for a market that size! While I like Gerry House, mainly because of Mike Bohan, it's hard to listen to it because every 30 seconds there seems to be a commercial. When it's not commercial time Gerry is promoting someone's business. Gator and the Stykman are definitely better than the other 2 Nashville stations' (WKDF & WSM-FM) morning shows. I think they'd be a great fit. In fact, it seems like they have been on WSIX some Sunday afternoons in the past. I'd hate to see them not on 94.7 The Country Giant though, that's their home.
