I was reminded of this when my radio station played The Guess Who this morning, and the DJ said something along the lines of, "That was Guess Who? No Guess. Guess Who was the band. Who's on first?" Finally the DJ explained that Guess Who was a band. His target audience would not be people who actually knew that.
Which reminded me of a routine similar to that Abbott and Costello which was in my newspaper years ago.
It was about The Who, The Guess Who, The Band and Yes.
I looked for this online but couldn't find it. Unfortunately, the only way may be to go to a library database, which means I can't simply provide a link, and it would be copyrighted so I can't just copy it here.
