Who's The Best Part-timers

Sean, if you did return on a part time basis, that would put you at the ahead of everybody else. I don't say that because we're old roomates and buddies. During that time at KNUZ, I watched and heard a true pro who loved what he was doing on the air and conveyed to his listeners...both of them, Thelma Daquid and Bobby Langham....just kidding, my man. We always had a great time at KNUZ in spite of the situation and you were always cookin. I wouldn't trade for a second.
That's sweet of you to say, Chucker...and it was fun back then.

Once I had a 20 share at KNUZ. Well...actually 20 listeners shared KNUZ... ;D

Seriously...I remember having a 3.7 at night...THAT would be enough to be in the Top 5 today.

What has happened to Dave Summers? He was on KRBE, Mix, Planet, KTRH.

Dave's doing 70's Saturday nights on the New K-Hits

Actually Dave was involved in a car accident several months ago and as far as I know he has not returned to KHits yet. Unless he came back last weekend and I missed it.

Not sure how he's doing.

I can't believe nobody mentioned Colonel St. James.

The Col. Is FULLTIME. Ain't he great? I listen to him every afternoon on KILT drinking my Fallstaff.

Thank you Colonel... I've survived and outlasted RC Rogers, Bob Harlow, Dennis Winslow, Ron Parker and now Ed Scarborough in the pd chair... and oh yeah... I've lived through 4 GMs and so far. Oh and I think I'm on my 8th morning show...and I've filled in for everyone of them except the latest...and thats only because of my schedule at Metro keeps me from it.

I would have cast my vote for Michael Vee but he's gone over to the full time side...(For now)

Hey Kev,

Ain't Ed Scarborough a great guy?

Every now and again I think I might like to do an airshift again. When I get that feeling I usually just take a nap and I feel better, and that whole feeling passes.

The parts of radio I really loved are pretty much all gone...its like the fond memories I have of college. But as the apostle Paul once said, "...when I was a child I spake as a child." I isolate the things I liked about college and realize that what I really liked was screwing around, drinking beer and hanging out at the radio station.

Strangely, what I liked about radio was screwing around, drinking beer and hanging out at the radio station. ;D

Ahhh...I liked more about radio than that, but I went forever without getting canned. Then one day I woke up and Clear Channel owned everything in the world. Let me tell you: There ain't enough beer in the world to make that fun.

Hey Hoss...give me some of that gootime audio processing. Yeah Baby!!!!!!!!! Where you at these days boy?

I worked in the promotions dept. at KILT, you know one of those that just go out and give away stuff. Nothing more than that. I worked under Coach Robert E. Lee sometime in 2000 I guess. We talked many times about your times at that "other" station south. ;D. Yourself and Rowdy Yates among others were always very courteous to someone as far down on the totem pole as I was and offered advice as well.

Before that I worked at a station in Brenham part-time but ultimately am out of radio (to this day my dream is fading) mainly cause the railroad pays the bills.

Yragha, Dylan is a sweetheart, and a real cutie on the air too. Dylan, I liked it when you used to have off-the-wall topics on the overnights. Sure beat the usual overnight wallpaper from elsewhere. Btw, can you still put your entire hand in your mouth? That trick is so much cooler than all those "double-jointed" stunts you see.
