Who's time is up in Hartford radio?

I know you're being sarcastic, but I would only put you on the air on my station if your show went back to the political heavy shows you were doing before WXCT went Spanish the first time in 2004. No offense, but the shows you did when WXCT was revived in late 05 that lasted until May 07 in weren't that good. I know you were trying to avoid politics on WXCT when it was revived, but you should've continued the political heavy shows. It's what you did best, IMO. I liked the debates between you and that guy from East Hartford. You know the one that allegedly threatened the mayor of Bristol on the air and you and him had to make an apperence down there. The one that got the station in The Hartford Courant albeit with the wrong Calls Letters. And not to mention your tirades about the corruption of the Southington School System, where the former superintendent told you he doesn't have to tell you why he was shopping at Stop & Shop on the tax payer's dime. That was good stuff.

Ahh yes, those were the days. Lots of fun! Boy the day that caller allegedly "threatened" the Mayor of Bristol was classic. It wasn't a real, or direct threat. It was an "if this happened to me, I would respond this way". He didn't live in Bristol, so what the Mayor was doing then wouldn't have affected him. But you can imagine my surprise when he showed up at the station and told me the police had called him on his cell! I felt I should run downtown with him to put the call in context.

And the Superintendent getting flustered on the air was funny too.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

No. As of May 2007 all the newspaper clippings about WXCT that I collected since 2002 are buried in the old Southington landfill, ironically less then 1/2 mile from the station. The new landfill allegedly is across the street from the old landfill. (I haven't seen it and I drive that stretch of Old Turnpike Road weekly).

Now I really am hurt. *sniff*

In order to see the "landfill" ( aplace where people dump garbage), which it is actually a "transfer station" (where the garbage is taken out of the Town to a landfill, or incinerator elsewhere - except for brush, which is composted on site), you have to turn into the driveway and enter the property. The Town is doing what they can to keep it from being an eyesore by blocking the view from the road.

I have various radio publications I am looking to get rid of. Wondering what I should do. Ideas? Anyone want them? Lat time I checked the library didn't.

Considering how many great people have lost their jobs in CT radio - and how many more will lose them (I hear more tomorrow at Clear Channel) - this thread is pretty cruel.
