Why is KIIS-FM ignoring "Tonight, Tonight"?

Since Citadel is going to be bought by Cumulus, does this mean Citadel CHRs may turn cookie cutter/conservative and play more hot AC hits?

That would be a disaster in markets like Providence RI (Hot AC hits is fine, but conservative programming is not...)

It's not being played on the station at all (however it's on sister hot AC 104.3 MYfm)

You answered your own question.

I definitely don't consider KIIS as "inspirational"....they didn't inspie me to do anything LOL :D But if anything, they do have a MAJOR influence over other Clear Channel-owned stations

Completly agree - it's just being cheap IMO - either that or "playing it safe" I guess

I almost feel like the only original stations out there are owned by smaller companies (Entercom, Royce, etc.)

That's so true. I was listening to B97 when I was in New Orleans and the MS Gulf Coast over the weekend and they had a weekend version of their nightly countdown going on all weekend long. They've also done lots of other theme weekends in the past too.
