...are all of CBS FM's STILL well below a 2 share in mkt number 4 ?
Lkeller said:"Why??"
Maybe because CBS hasn't tried anything new, except for killing Free FM, and bringing back KFRC, which is still a work in progress. CBS has always claimed to be happy with the ratings-shares and demographics of Live 105 and Alice. Maybe they really mean that, when they say it.

Remember that it is NEVER the overall ratings they're concerned with; it's the ratings for particular demographics. Each station (if they know what they're doing, anyway) has a particular target they're going after because as a marketer, you simply don't sell the same stuff to one group as you do to another.
KGO's listeners aren't going to be buying the coolest new cell phone; KMEL's listeners aren't going to be going to wine socials in Marin. Therefore, though a station might have low overall ratings, they may be high in a desired target demographic.
And this is what so many people can't get over: the total ratings (12+ AQH) don't really matter to anyone in the business of broadcasting.

The chemistry w/Celeste is nearly non-existant, he's as quick as a moped at a stoplight and when he stops the music to do an un-funny bit, only to end it with the call letters over the first :01 of a :50+ second intro, this is not a listenable morning show."
I've been resisting that conclusion, but I've been listening more lately, and have to agree. Duke would be better in another time slot
"Rather funny how the guy getting the brunt of the pre-launch "bashing", Jay Coffee, sounds BEST on the station. In my humble (and rather verbose, today) opinion."
I think it's "Coffey," and I have to admit, he's growing on me too - partially because they are not limiting his talk as much as they did in the beginning. And if you're being "verbose," what does that make me? Never mind, please don't answer that.
all? i think not.....Rick Mundy Show said:...are all of CBS FM's STILL well below a 2 share in mkt number 4 ?
