How many people answered their phones with "I listen to the new sound of Y-100" in hopes of winning $50,000 dollars. Rival station WMJX tried playing off on that and was forced off the air by the FCC (RIP Stuart Elliott who signed that station off with "Long and Winding Road")I was the General Manager for WHTT, Y-100's sister Spanish language AM station. But when driving from Sweetwater to Hollywood to work, I would spend most of the time listening to Tanner in the Morning. I loved The Madam, Cox on the Radio, Mark in the Dark, Cramer, Kid Curry.
Prior to WHTT, I had mostly done Top 40 and Hot AC formats, and Y-100 showed me how much I didn't know!
