I'm sure he's a nice guy, but people are on WIBC after 4pm for TWO reasons - they left the radio on after Rush, or they are listening for TRAFFIC, News, TRAFFIC, weather, and TRAFFIC.
Put ANYONE in that chair on autopilot during evening drive and the ratings will be same.
It's like being the only country station in town, and say everyone that tunes in during a particular shift is because of the DJ and NOT the music.
Dave's amusing, but it's time for something new.

My thoughts exactly! Just like any AC station. Put anyone on the air, and you still get good ratings. It's the music. And in the case of WIBC. News, Weather and Traffic. A ringmaster directing the information flow.
Again...They need to upgrade their talent when they move to FM.
