WIFE abandoning local coverage for Rushville?

Mr. Wilson said:
LOL!! Randy I agree.

Not surprising you'd agree with yourself.

It's when the multiple personalities start disagreeing with one another that the rest of us have to worry.

BTW, you weren't in Tucson today, were you?

Not sure who you are saying is agreeing with themselves? I live in connersville, home of no fm station. might check ip addresses maybe?

Mr Wilson and Randy are 2 different people.

I recall Rushville having 94.3 FM. They've taken on the WIFE calls? The Connersville FM moved to Norwood, OH and became WMOJ. Not clear on how that was approved without some FM coverage to take its place. What a shame that you can move an allocation that far away.

I suppose Rushville FM covers that void?

the FCC Considered the fact that Connersville still has AM 1580 for Local coverage. and 2 FM Translators for WJCF from Morristown IN i guess the consider also local coverage on FM. when they approved the move of the 100.3 License to Norwood OH. if i recall was said back when this moved happen

The fcc may have considered it, but they should have come to town to check the coverage area. Then again who listens to AM anymore. People in this town miss the strong FM sound

It was kind of a strange deal on that move. The FCC must have been asleep, or accept a big corporate donation from R-1. I agree on the FM service to the area.

Looks like Mr. Wilson and the City of Rushville will have their wish.

I'm from the Vincennes area who went to school with the new GM of WRLN. I did some research on WIFE after hearing the stories of non-coverage of local community events, the abandonment of allowing student broadcasters to learn the industry, or losing massive amounts of local support after focusing on Connersville. After stumbling upon this topic, I have a few things to say.

Mr. Rodgers,
Your right, you are serving two communites, and can't be both places at once, which is why it seems you have chosen another community other then Rushville to cover. It's more then obvious that your local news, lack of local weather, or events focus on Connersville, show your not committed to the city of Rushville. I've even heard you've lost a great deal of business after an almost 3 year abandonment of making sales calls to local owners. I've listened to your station a time or two and can say that this is fact.

Also after a few hurdles through the FCC, looks like WRLN is almost close to completion, and with a very strong signal after a recent CP move! Go get 'em WRLN, looks like Rushville is yours for the taking.
