WIHS 104.9 now in stereo

I may give streaming a try but it will need to be limited due to my 2 gig data package limit. Thanks for the info! PS i do get a good signal here at home in higganum,Ct.

So... anyone here been a long-term listener (or an occasional "tune-in-er" for some time) who has any comments or thoughts on the station's audio quality and stereo signal? :)

I'm all ears! :D

Over the past few months, I've replaced a bunch of equipment in the air chain. I truly appreciate any comments anyone has, regarding the audio quality of WIHS, now. :D

Willie :) As i said before i get a real good sig from meriden to higganum but no good in my work place in meriden (only the strongest signals get inside where i work).I also havent noticed a signal strength change since you went stereo but the quality is better than before.I dont travel much but next time i visit my parents in newington ill let you know how good a sig i get from there.Im sure there are many more listeners but maybe not many visit this board. Take care in Christ! Stan

There will be no increase in SIGNAL, nor in loudness, only in the QUALITY of the audio. Thanks for the report! :)

Now that that translator in BPT just upped its power, I most DEFINITELY want to know about any INTERFERENCE COMPLAINTS!

I was just re-reading this old discussion. A few things have changed since then!

For one, the translator is on a new frequency, so our signal can once again be heard in the greater Bridgeport area for the 1'st time in 20 years! :) We're also in stereo, and our Internet stream has been gaining listeners at a fairly steady pace! These are all good things! (BTW, I completely rebuilt the audio chain to the Internet stream, so it sounds better than ever!)

Reception reports and comments are always welcome and appreciated! :)

What is the TPO and ERP of WIHS?
How many bays? Are you non D or D?

Wow... two years have passed since the last post in this thread! :) WIHS has been running in stereo 24/7 since June 2012. We are aware of signal problems, especially in Meriden. There are several powerful station atop Meriden Mountain, so it's no wonder the signal is affected.
