Kiss is the highest billing music station in Boston. There is zero chance that they will change it to a simulcast of a station that bills about 25% less than they do.I'm wondering if IHeart will blow up Kiss 108 FM and simulcast WBZ News Radio 1030 on 107.9. I don't think that'll happen because they're simulcasting it on their HD2 channel. But that's something interesting to think about.
And what would happen to the $20 million in annual billing'I would be very surprised if they did. What would happen to the CHR format?
Right after the White House replaces Air Force One with a used jet they bought from Frontier.I'm wondering if IHeart will blow up Kiss 108 FM and simulcast WBZ News Radio 1030 on 107.9. isn't WROR and WMJX close?Kiss is the highest billing music station in Boston. There is zero chance that they will change it to a simulcast of a station that bills about 25% less than they do.
WMJX is second highest billing music station, but KXKS bills 50% more. WROR is the #5 billing music station, with Kiss billing nearly the double..isn't WROR and WMJX close?
"Better" in the same way that extraction without novocain is better than root canal without novocain, I suppose.I think a better question is will Audacy flip WWBX
It's the 4th highest billing music station in the market. No way. (to be polite, I removed the 7-letter word that goes between "no" and "way")I think a better question is will Audacy flip WWBX

But seriously ... Flip to what? Boston is a market with many established format leaders that would be very difficult for a new player to impact, and no format holes to speak of other than ones that underperform in advertising because of undesirable demographics (oldies, active rock, classic country, etc.). WWBX is a nice piece of the overall Audacy cluster with plenty of appeal to those impulse-buying, trend-chasing, credit-card-maxing 25-44 females advertisers everywhere drool over.

No, but they're targeted with classic rock, classic hits, country, urban and sports, plus right-wing talk for some at the upper end of 34-55.Is men an undersirable demographic to advertisers?

That's still a lot of men, 45 to 50 percent. I wasn't saying those formats skewed male, certainly not as male as classic rock and sports, just more male than CHR and AC.Classic Hits is about 50/50. Country is 55% female. Same with Urban.
No. Dogs and cats are, though. (just kidding)Is men an undersirable demographic to advertisers?
