...BET the farm 107.9 is going to be the next "Classic Hits" station after christmas....

I think you're going to lose your farm.

i wasn't betting MY farm. its entercom's farm to lose, depending on what they do after christmas. if its another "Robot" radio station, regardless of the format their "farm" is gone.

Radio is robotville now enough as is. how the heck can you have a CHR station targetting the young folks over at Cumulus and have only 1 local DJ
Easy...have Cumulus operate it.

Probably wouldn't be the worst decision ever to bring back WTPI
NO, i bet they have a "worst decision" that can top it.

Im not in Indy now, but still have my family there in martinsville and I will be back soon...

My guesses are as follows

True Oldies with Scott Shannon=Dirt Cheap

Rhythmic AC Dance like The Groove in Atlanta, and The Beat in Detroit..

all 90s like Ge-X Louisville

All 3 could be cheap and Jockless.

Has to be one of the 3....right????? My number one vote goes to all 90s,, but I be happy with any of the 3.

whatever they do they will have to cover the "drives" live, to be taken seriously.

Did I hear that Scott Roddy is in the building? Hmmm....Not confirmed, but what I was told.

Scott Shannon's True Oldies..ain't gonna happen, way upper demos

90s or Adult CHR. Quite possible, would have to walk a fine line with WZPL though.

80s and More (like WREW, Cinncinati). Maybe

ya, i bet he was... he's had two shots at this in town, enough already! i guess we can expect pigeon and all the rest..
please NO!

Why wouldnt true oldies work when WKLU was pulling good numbers with that weak signal

They could be a rhythmic AC and lean on the dance side, while WZPL already skews in the female rock direction..

I stick to my original 3 guesses,,,what else could it be,,, ti coudlnt go talk could it,, not with WIBC on FM,,, I wouldnt mind a local talker though,, with real time local news.

I dount this happens,, but 2 other much slighter possibilitys are Urban or Active rock, or maybe a true alternative... Doubtful on all three, but I wouldnt rule these out either.

I don't believe The Track will be back, but the WTPI-FM calls might. As "One Oh Seven Point Nine, The Point".

A Hot AC to fill a hole in the market and allow WZPL to be a true CHR.

Not sure anyone over there knows how to program "a true CHR" hoosier45guy. ZPL has been a "hodge-podge" format for as long as I can remember - not true CHR, nor Hot AC, and I'm not sure it has anything to do with other station programming in the cluster "holding them back" from programming ZPL more to format. I think ZPL is what they want it to be - AOR [as in All Over the Road, not Album Oriented Rock].
