That station (WMAS-FM) was on the list to be flipped acc. to radioinsight but indeed I just went on their site and Phil Collins You'll Be In My Heart is playing
106.7 needs to flip soon (hopefully in 3 hours from this post).
Not really. It is home to the market. A rimshot is usually considered to be a station on the periphery of a market that is "shooting" the signal in from outside.WBOQ - Rimshot.
Except for sports in Boston, every format is a niche format.K-Love, kind of niche type of programming.
From WBOQ siteOdd that WHOM hasn't yet. I don't think WZID ever completely flips, usually just nights and weekends.
I am not going to split hairs with you David. You know what I meant. Not really. It is home to the market. A rimshot is usually considered to be a station on the periphery of a market that is "shooting" the signal in from outside.

Only 1 station station gets over a 7 share in 12+, and only 5 more average over a 5 share.
Especially since a Bostonian would know that WBOQ is a non-player in a chunk of Boston proper because of the presence of Class D WRBB on the same frequency.I am not going to split hairs with you David. You know what I meant.
It is funny on what you will pick up right in the middle of Downtown Boston, depending on even such things as being 20 floors above the street. WBOQ used to come in up there, as opposed to WRBB, go figure.Especially since a Bostonian would know that WBOQ is a non-player in a chunk of Boston proper because of the presence of Class D WRBB on the same frequency.
WMAS may flip today at around 5 PM. I'm recording an aircheck of them and sister station WRCH down in Hartford right now. I'll keep you updated. That station (WMAS-FM) was on the list to be flipped acc. to radioinsight but indeed I just went on their site and Phil Collins You'll Be In My Heart is playing
None of the stations made a flip.WMAS may flip today at around 5 PM. I'm recording an aircheck of them and sister station WRCH down in Hartford right now. I'll keep you updated.
Edit: WLCQ-LP could also make a flip soon.
The only flips that I pay attention too are the ones right in the middle of the metro area, aka WMJX.As of last night, the only Christmas music I was hearing at my location was on WALK 97.5 from Patchogue, NY. I don't keep track of the flips the way some in this thread apparently do -- does it seem unusually late for WRCH and WMAS not to have gone ho-ho-ho yet?
Noncomm WJMJ Hartford is in the middle of its fall beg-athon right now, but no sign of holiday tunes in the occasional songs being played. I've never noted when they start creeping into the playlist, but once they begin to, they remain until the literal 12th day of Christmas, better known as Epiphany. And not just religious songs either, but "Frosty the Snowman," "White Christmas" and all the rest!
