Scrolling through the dial on my way to work this morning, I was reminded of another potential player in this potential shuffle- 102.5, currently rebroadcasting iHeart's 1480 Jack-lite station. They could easily flip THAT to Christmas tunes to siphon what they can from B, while flipping 106.1 straight to AC to pick up any listeners jumping the Christmas ship.

just for the record, I don't think anyone else here cares about my alternative agenda or your useless, stupid, constant postings, but you were the first one to flame me with your camouflaged attacks on every post I made, poking the bear in your words, not I. I have never personally attacked anyone, go back some months and see who initiated this, if anybody is racist look in the mirror. Second, the last time I checked Lance's board, a minute ago, I was not banned, go check my handle "neilraimo". I think you should be banned for your useless idiotic replies to good threads, and your accusations, calling me derogatory terms and saying I'm banned just to make me look bad, when I'm not, these are grounds for your expulsion. You have to have half a brain to be a thinking person, remember that.
Thank you for letting me know your most recent handle so I could ban that one too. What's really ridiculous is that the same two people are still having the same posts attacking each other for the same things nearly two decades later.
What "we need" (subjective as that is) really isn't the concern of the business. They need income. Whatever they believe, based on the data they have, will deliver that income is how it will go.

Even at its fringe, it looks like 102.5 doesn't hit all of Philly, let alone the not-so-far western suburbs like Radnor, Media, Conshohocken or Norristown. Looks like they barely make it to Willow Grove. They get a little chunk of interior South Jersey...but that's not going to siphon "squat" away from More FM, so to speak.
Joey, is this opinion/speculation, or confirmed news?! It'd be interesting to see how iHeart plays the 106.1 situation, Breeze or not.
On the social media front, there were NO posts on Real 106.1's Twitter page today. First time that's happened. Several posts on their FB page, however. No hints/clues on any of "The Breeze" social media accounts. Duds?

Yup. Pretty sure all of iHeart's Philly station URL's are registered to MarkMonitor. I'm thinking Friday is probably the day to keep our ears peeled.
That's a tad bit of hyperbole, no? If this guy and I were having words two decades ago, it's news to me! Fake news, I believe it's called.
There have certainly been format flips mid-week and in the midst of contests but I agree Friday is probably a day to focus on. I believe the cash giveaway is a nationwide contest so pretty much any iHeart station could potentially drop in or out of it whenever.
I feel bad for the Real 106.1 employees and airstaff. They surely know as much as (or more than) we do but I'm sure they're being given the often-used line (lie) that everything is fine and they should just keep focusing on doing their jobs. I hope that whatever happens, the company keeps them on.

OMG, what if that's true? "Listen guys, we're just f***in with 101. Nothing's changing!" I mean, any of us can register any domain we want whenever we feel like it and apparently start a 10-page deep thread on this website. LOL.
Wouldn't that be amazing if everything just stayed as it is? Real 106.1, which really seems to be doing OK, gets to stay; nothing changes at 101.1; and everyone gets to keep their jobs. At the end of the day, they just forced someone at WBEB to spend a couple weeks constantly monitoring WISX!
Barring any lies, that is an interesting statement. Could mean that they seriously don't know of what's happening; or more-likely that they know their fate, but can't say much else.
BTW, it makes sense that they did not flip today. The 'mood' in the air is very busy with Election Day tomorrow. Friday would make much more sense as the political fuel should subside.
