Given that "Jammin' 103.1" was supposed to come back on the air - only for CC to double decide and keep "I Heart Austin" on permanently instead, the second incarnation of "Jammin" only lasted TEN MONTHS. I was thinking that CC should look at dayparting "102.3 The Beat". Having two types of rhythmics being co-owned (one CHR, the other AC or oldies) is not too common unlike mainstream urban/urban ac couplets, and Austin is basically the worst market for any rhythmic format (think KQBT and KXBT), whether it be CHR, AC or oldies. I was thinking "The Beat" can expand its selection and sprinkle in songs that Jammin used to play, mostly as far back as the 80s and 90s primarily during the day. Play a 90s old school hip hop and/or R&B song, two 00s songs and the rest regular per hour. CC Austin can look at other rhythmics that do this, like sister KGGI in Riverside or KVEG in Las Vegas.
