They both cried on the air. I feel for themWhat I'm hearing on the WJBR website is what listeners in Delaware are hearing over the air.
Justin got really emotional during the last few minutes.
When a call letter change is filed in association with a sale, the new call letters do not take effect until the closing. 10/4 was just the expected date. And didn't the calls officially change today?
Why hopefully? If it does, it does, but how is it problematic if it doesn’t?Hopefully WJBR will go silent for a few days.
Opportunity to DX on the frequency if it does. Obvious answer, no?Why hopefully? If it does, it does, but how is it problematic if it doesn’t?
I’m curious if WBAI and WIHT will make it to the Philadelphia market. I remember hearing WJBR in Manhattan when WBAI was silent a few years ago.Opportunity to DX on the frequency if it does. Obvious answer, no?
You're not reading the room. There are radio geeks here. Not really, no. It’s 2023, anyone can listen to anything they want.
Okay, there is one, small, tiny detail that I am most interested in... and if this is being rehashed, I apologize...
What is happening with the HD subchannel and its translator?
WJBR-HD2 currently broadcasts Maxima on 104.1 W281CM through Delaware and South Jersey (at least, I think it does; I don't have an HD receiver).
Is the station getting a new home on the HD dial or disappearing or going to VCY... or something else entirely?
Edit: I'm not sure if WJBR has an HD3... if so, it would be Gospel 100.7 W264BH out of Philly.
And? It’s a marvelous age where we can hear all kinds of things from all around the world. 🤷🏻‍♂️ That’s pretty good for all geeks. You're not reading the room. There are radio geeks here.
