WJES, WCRS and WYOR Roper's stations off

Figures. Guess Roper got in to his morning show (based at WTQR) since they're now putting it on other CC Country stations.

Hate to see Greenwood lose 2 radio stations, but 94.1 has never really been much of anything.

Is this the same Jeff Roper that is doing afternoons on the satellite gospel/country format Gods Country? In his bio, several South Carolina stations are mentioned.

I wonder if those stations are really missed. 94.1 and the simulcasts, as I said, was never really anything impressive, not even after Roper took over. Not really sure about 1450.

I am old enough to have listened to WCRS-AM/FM when it was an NBC radio affiliate. It is sad to see legacy radio stations like WCRS bite the dust. As a kid, I was always confused about what they meant when they announced at the end of a show, "This program has been brought to you by transcription."
