Re: I beg to differ...
What is fading faster? Oldies or WCKG? Silly of me to think this. Oldies, like Jammin' Oldies needs to breath, grow and come up each decade. Also, the imaging has to change and if it's done properly you can be in the top 5 25-54. Infinity just doesn't believe in it anymore. End of story and once again, another format falls by the wayside because of what the big boys caused. They've caused radio's problems by lobbying to get what they wanted. Once they got what they wanted it had issues and ramifications that don't allow certain formats, certain music and certain things to occur in markets for fear of affecting the cluster of 7 STATIONS. Jack is a knee-jerk reaction to the affect de-reg has caused. It's stupid, insane and one could argue that this is what they perceive to be a full-fledged upgrade to the oldies format. Kind of like the 80s where every radio station IGNORED an entire generation of music until the latter part of that decade. Now we have it all over again, Jack sprinkles in some of the oldies but it crashes into so much else that it's like a spice on your tongue that your taste buds can't handle.
