I went to their webpage and noticed that they listed Sevendust as one of their core artists, and breathed a sigh of relief. When I heard the "Mainstream Rock" tag, I thought "Oh great, another ZXL or maybe an MMR for Atlantic City", but it seems to be something more than that.

Good point - I suppose Access1's repositioning of 102.7 as "The Ace" may attract some ZXL listeners who are sick of hearing that station pass Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel off as rock artists, which in turn may boost sister station WMGM's (103.7 The Shark) ratings share in the process. There isn't any playlist or online broadcast that I know of, but I'm guessing that the format may sound similar to the old station (minus the likes of The Killers, Coldplay and Franz Ferdinand of course) and maybe some additional mainstream rock acts thrown in. Only time will tell if this move will work, but the fact that they were playing GNR and AC/DC should have been a sign of things to come - I for one can't say I'm too surprised with the change.
