Why does this station lean Classic Rock. Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Poison. Lynard Skynard, The Eagles all have songs in the Top 100 on yes.com. AC/DC also had "You Shook me all night long" on the Top 100 not too long ago too. I thought most AC's have stopped playing 70's, so why play 70's music that is already pounded to death on Classic and Active Rockers.
This sounds very weird next to an excessive burnout of Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye and every single from Adele other than "SkyFall". That and most of the Katy Perry and Gaga singles are pounded to death as well. That and all you typical AC songs from the last 5 years like "Pocket Full of Sunshine", "F***** Perfect", most of what Daughty has and so on. I also hate the fact that this station takes a song that a Hot AC has been burning out for 6 months and gives it even more burnout like the song was freaking new. Which is true of the songs mentioned above. Just because a station adds a new song to the play-list doesn't mean its new. Especially if CHR has had the song for 8 months and Hot AC has had the song for 6.
Ocala and Gainesville already have 3 stations playing Classic Rock. (Even if the stations are only Class A"s) That and in Gainesville you have 4 stations from Jacksonville you can pick up playing some form of Rock. One is an Adult Hits that leans Rock, 1 Classic Rocker, 1 Active Rocker and 1 Alternative Rocker.
This station my friend is programmed very poorly. However it is rated in the Top 5 in the Market so Entercom will probably never make any adjustments.
