I was listening at 5pm - They played a id/sweeper that said "THE NEW 105.1 WLRS - Everything that ROCKS!" and then went into Crazy Train by Ozzy! What Gives???

The nostalgia aside, WLRS's call sign ticket has probably been punched a couple too many times already...maybe it is time to retire it...
HotPatrick, not trying to be rude just want to know, why are you the WLRS expert? Did you use to work there or something? I was friends with McGregor when he was in town doing the morning show and thats what got me hooked on LRS. It has had it troubles over the years no doubt, but LRS always seemed like a cool station to me. Whats your background with the station?radioville said:HOTP you're the WLRS expert, what do you know? icycool, are they streaming?

hotpatrick2004 said:Lord of rock dude it is a joke i am no lrs expert. Everyone on this board knows how much i disliked them so it was a joke. There format was all over the road before and they didn't have but one decent talent that is what i had against them listening to freak joe waas a struggle for me and mcgregor was one of the best talent the station had really enjoyed his show!!! It lost its cool moniker several years ago!!! And they appealed to way to young a demo i love the alt format but they were not alt they would play metellica and then a modest mouse song? Those two bands do not belong on the same frequency.
Lrs now sounds nothing like the fox the fox is active rock and lrs i would call mainstream rock or just plain rock but the difference between the fox and lrs now is quite noticeable.
Good luck mainline with 105.1 you guys are on the right path even though i would rather it have been a straight alternative station such is life.
