Makes sense. The buyer realizes that the $1 sales price was far too high. Wisely kept his buck.None, because the transaction is cancelled. See post #81 for the FCC filing.

Local sales. Especially independent businesses that are in your coverage signal coverage. Auto repair, used cars and "locally owned" new car dealerships. Locally owned HVAC, plumbers, etc0.3 in the raiting...how do you make money with a 0.3?
I'm going to guess it might have something to do with the national network that runs the "SuperHits" '60s/'70s oldies/classic hits feed that WMEX is now running weekday mid-days and nights, and their live morning and afternoon drive DJ's are now (mostly) following the playlists of it.Is WMEX really giving away $1000's of Dollars in this new promtion suppoedly starting on the 6th? $1000 x 4 times a day chances to win?! WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THE MONEY!?!!
Interesting...But honestly, will it get more people to tune in?I'm going to guess it might have something to do with the national network that runs the "SuperHits" '60s/'70s oldies/classic hits feed that WMEX is now running weekday mid-days and nights, and their live morning and afternoon drive DJ's are now (mostly) following the playlists of it.
Even many major top-rated commercial FM music stations nowadays run national money giveaway contests, the money is not necessarily from the local station running it. "Listen for your cue to call this (national) number..."
One word. No.Interesting...But honestly, will it get more people to tune in?
So are all the DJ segments "Drop-in" prerecorded, or only some of them?
Who the heck takes local away from the mornings - and apparently, Jeff Lawrence weekly countdown show is now airing twice rather than four times - one time on Saturday and once on Sunday. The Syndicated "Greatest Hits USA" is taking Sunday 6-9pm...perhaps the only national feed not from True Oldies....Dave Newfell is still on Satrudays...but I wonder for how long...and frankly, I don't expect Russ and Ben to still be around in 6 months...WMEX announced at 10 AM today that starting at midnight, they're switching to Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel feed. This will mean Scott Shannon will be on in the morning, and Russ and Ben will be on together in the afternoon.
Define "works." Turns a profit? Does a 2.0-2.5 in 6+? Shows up at all in 25-54?It will be interesting if TOC works in Boston.
This is the fourth format in 3 months. In late February WMEX posted they were moving to music from the 70, 80s and 90s because the music of the 50s and 60s attracted a limited audience. Then they added 60s 2-3 times an hour to placate old listeners.Define "works." Turns a profit? Does a 2.0-2.5 in 6+? Shows up at all in 25-54?
Shannon used to be carried up here in the Upper Valley on the 96.3/106.7 simulcast before the flip to Hot AC and, frankly, he sounded tired. His delivery had slowed way down and, in baseball terms, he definitely had lost a lot off his fastball. I can't imagine he's sounding much better two years later. Yes, he's a legend, but ...
Is WMEX still carrying "MeTV Music" at night? It's not listed on their web site anymore.
It’s “The Good Syndicated Guys”!Apparently WMEX has dropped ALL remaining LOCAL DJs as well Jeff Lawrence Top 1510 Countdown!
Farewell to the "Good Guys"!
