Just when I thought the WSBX Georgia/North Florida post was funny, this one takes the cake.
And yes, I'm still taking up for WMRK's right to do Talk programming. Hey if that format is billing well, why mess with it.
To all you know it all's., I can still help you get into the radio business if you want. I'm not to sure on it but I believe my former gig is still looking for a local operations manager. If you want to get into the world of radio broadcasting, check into this and see if it's something you can handle. If you want to learn more about this job and see if it's still open, call 1-800-families and talk with AFR. Maybe they can help you get into this business and show you how things are done.
All you'll have to do is make sure that WAQU has a clear sound quality, keep the broadcast on the air, help raise the money needed to pay the bills and make sure that the satellite is pointed right, so that you can receive the programming from Tupelo Mississippi.
One catch though, this station may not have too many listeners tuned in. Most of their audience has flocked over to WRNF (Selma) and WMBV (Dixon's Mills) for their Spiritual needs. Although Moody leans heavy on talk, at least they have some local flavor and a small block of music mixed in. When the local flavor and/or music is on, I find myself listening and singing along.
Due to some issues I have with AFR, I no longer listen to them.
To WMRK Talk 107.9 FM, I'm rooting for your continued success. Keep on doing what you do. Don't let these critics discourage you at all. Carry on my friend. I stand behind your product and will defend it till the end of its existence.
