Wouldn't be confusing to PPM meters, as opposed to the old-school way of writing entries in Arbitron diaries...

I'm from SoCal and live here - IMO The 'Left Coast' will most likely be the only place you will hear true C-Jazz (or Smooth Jazz). L.A.'s KTWV - My Beloved 98KIFM in S.D. - KSSJ in Sacramento - K-Jazz Palm Springs and Santa Barbara's KMGQ will still be around playing the good stuff. These stations are not owned by Cheap Channel. I'm very saddened over what's happened up north at KKSF and It appears WNUA's days are numbered (11 days and counting...) I was in Chicago just last month in between flights at O'Hare listening to WNUA on my Bose while running under the neon tunnel at United's Terminal 1. I don't see why people make fun of the Smooth Jazz genre. It's like they'll make fun of genres that are unique.
It's sad. Smooth Jazz is a great genre to listen to, but that's just me.

I'd take the LATTER. There's more to life than the stupid, superficial stuff that gangsta rappers rap about. At least in Smooth Jazz, the themes are more POSITIVE!

What's most impressive is I thought KKSF would be one of the LAST Smooth Jazz stations to go. I thought KTWV and KWJZ would go first.....

....but by the looks of it, KWJZ just might be the last.....

My god, I think they just played "Cherish" performed by The Partridge Family. This is indeed bizarre.
 
It was obvious it was going to be some kind of spanish. Clear Channel wants a piece of that big hispanic audience in Chicago. They can't afford to let the station be a marginal also ran. Even if they split half of us99's audience, the hispanic audience is more attractive.
 
It's also interesting that since I have sat here at the PC since 8pm tonight listening to WNUA, I hadn't heard Scott Adams mention a WORD about the change.
This news is very sad to me. :( :( :(
 
Soak up all the WNUA Smooth Jazz as tomorrow is the station's last day!!!!
 
Scott Adams just went off the air saying he will be back tomorrow night at 7. Someone better tell him he is out of a job!
