Why does WOKQ call itself "The Big 97-5" when it should be "The Big 103-7". WPKQ's 103.7 signal covers a much larger geographical area than the WOKQ 97.5 signal.

100.3 WHEB and 97.5 WOKQ are the only Class B FMs on the Seacoast. 97.5 might not have the land coverage of 103.7's Class C, but it surely covers more people.

How does 103.7 do in the Portland Market. Congress Street is only about 70 miles from the Peak of Mt Washington so I would venture that while perhaps not WTHT or WPOR numbers, that WPKQ shows in the Portland book?

The 103.7 signal is pretty strong throughout most of the market. Keep in mind, the station was targeted at Portland when it was known as "103.7 The Peak" prior to 1996. That said, I've never noticed it to be a popular listen, nor does the station seem to target this audience too much - no local promotions or temperature checks.
