I heard an absolutely atrocious song with "party" in the lyrics many times. I think I heard "Parking Lot Party".
Drink to That All Night by Jerrod Niemann. He RAPS it here and there! I hate when C/W stars try to put "urban" into their music. Country is country, not "Countrypolitan" music.

Nice try. No "hip-hop" culture in that one. Seriously, that is a tired argument, little a. Give it up.You mean like Charlie Daniels on Devil Went Down To Georgia?

When rappers start citing THEM as influences, I might agree with you. 'Til then, it's Sugar Hill Gang all the way.For it's time, calling someone a son of a b---- in a song was pretty hip hop. Same with Johnny Cash. Polite people in church don't talk like that.
And since then, a lot of hip hop groups have covered the song. So it's a very good argument. If it's good enough for Charlie, it's good enough for others.
I think "Cruise" with Nelly should be destroyed. Who thought a popular rapper should be doing a country song with Florida Georgia Line? They have jumped the shark, just like Taylor Swift. Next thing you know they will be doing a song that ends up #1 on the Hot 100 and doesn't end up on the Hot Country charts at all. Their name should be turned to "Crap Crap Line"! Thank goodness for someone like George Strait who would never THINK of using a rapper on ANY song.

Thankfully we have access to KKXA 1520 up here in our neck of the woods!
I know so many people who just fawn over this modern rap country crap. As I have said many times before, country music is the "in" thing among teens!
I watched the Miss USA pageant. Since I taped it I was able to skip over certain parts of the broadcast. I knew exactly what to do when Florida Georgia Line and Nelly came on. Then the girls in swimsuits started their competition. The instrumentals during that part were bad enough, but at least there were gorgeous girls in bikinis to look at. Then the "music" started up again and I fast-forwarded, then I realized they had twenty girls this year. Honestly, why did they have to make so many changes in this show? It does not need to be three hours.I think "Cruise" with Nelly should be destroyed. Who thought a popular rapper should be doing a country song with Florida Georgia Line? It's not one of the bad ones, but to me it's not one of the good ones either. I did hear a good version performed by Suzanne Somers on "Step by Step" but I hate the screaming guitar on the Brooks & Dunn version. Fact is, I can't stand Brooks & Dunn period. Now Boot Scootin' Boogie is a good song and more and more country stations have been getting rid of it.

I can't remember any more of the lyrics, but this one rock song played on a so-called country station includes references to Waylon and Willie and celebrates all things that make country music good, without actually being country itself.
That's the one. Absolutely terrible.^^^ It could have been the Brantley Gilbert song named "Country Must Be Country Wide". Willlie and Waylon are mentioned in it.
God bless you and Willie and Brantley always!!!![]()

P.S. Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr. are mentioned in that song too.
