This afternoon I went to turn on the radio, then realized JD was on.
That made me wonder, if KFYI had not tried to make us think Crummey was broadcasting from their studio, would he still be on the air? I think he would.
If they hadn't pretended he was local, the program could have succeeded. I sort of like the guy, he was lively, interesting and entertaining. At the time I didn't like him because of the subterfuge. But he was informed on local issues. It was the dishonesty that turned me off. It seemed to finish him off with the bad national publicity.
