The one thing I love about a new launch of a radio station is predicting all of the potential "chess moves" the other stations will do.
Granted, 92.3 Now will be competing DIRECTLY with Z-100. 92.3 Now would have to do something "different" to sell itself over what Z does, and a few current dance tracks may just be the thing. Now, if indeed this does happen, would CC steer 'KTU "out of the way" somehow in a "backhanded protection" to allow Z-100 to bring on some dance music tracks too in order to compete?
It's something that may not be too far fetched, although 'KTU has received its best ratings as a Rhythmic A/C. Could 'KTU revert to putting back the classic disco/dance material, that hasn't appeared as much as before, that still satisfies the demos that they have been consistent with? Would Z-100 be more "chancy" with dance.
I must note, I'm not looking for another dance station. But it would be a good thing for dance if CHR stations can be "dance friendly" again and add at least 5 well tested tracks onto their rotation.
