Would you accept dubstep on an alternative station?

KROQ debuted a show called Roq n Beats this past Saturday from 10pm to midnight. It sounded like they would cover dubstep and other electro, but I didn't get a chance to tune in. Did anyone hear it?

Yeah the show's been on for a while now, maybe a few weeks possibly months, not sure. IIRC it seemed like a lot of remixes of alt. stuff but don't quote me on that.

Update: Here's a playlist from an earlier airing of the show,

Well, not fer nothin', but I'm certainly ready to add the new deadmau5 to my little hole in the ground.

I heard deadmau5 "Professional Griefers" in regular rotation on KROQ on Friday.

Yeah, they did the advance add on it (when I got the disc, the press kit said "Already on KROQ!".) Good track.

Its probably an easier sell to the alternative audience since it features Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance. I never understood why deadmau5's remix of Foo Fighters "Rope" didn't gain more traction at alternative- or even crossover to CHR. Conversely, the next single to be released from Neon Trees is the Kaskade produced "Lessons in Love"- but its the rock version that appears on the Neon Trees album, instead of the pure EDM version that appears on Kaskade's "Fire and Ice" album released last year (and in my opinion, is a better version)

Actually, it'll be the first time Gerard Way's been heard on my station.

(My 80's-informed definition of "alternative" is constantly in opposition to the use of the word "alternative" to describe "current rock".)
