Meanwhile sister station WSKQ, La Mega now has even stronger ratings, and stands at 4.3. SKQ seems to be playing more salsa than they have in a long time, giving them a rather retro sound. And similar-sounding rival WXNY X96.3 also gained. It is rated almost as high as La Mega.
So it may be difficult for SBS to figure out what should be done with WPAT. So far they have not followed SBS stations in LA and Miami, which have DJ's speaking mostly in English, and play lots of rhythmic/dance songs that are in English. Perhaps there is now room in New York only for two highly-rated Spanish language stations.

David, I do recall that you had previously stated that Amor (WPAT FM) would change to the rhythmic format with dj's speaking mainly in English that is offered by KXOL in L.A., and WRMA in Miami. I thought (apparently incorrectly) that since the change had not been implemented by now, Amor was going to stick with its current incarnation of Spanish A/C.DavidEduardo said:XCountry285 said:Have 93.1 go Dance! Look for it to be very similar to KXOL and WRMA very soon.

Univision has not held up its end of the bargain as far as giving him the syndication he was seeking. Once DJ LAZ gets on 93.1 it should be a nice battle for morning bragging rights. I place my bet on LJ still coming out on top.
