This area is so rich in American History dating to the pre revolution. Fricks Lock was a really neat place as a kid. Used to ship furniture, coal and farm goods to Philadephia, then to the South beginning in the 1820's. My Uncle lived in Congo, a Pennsylvania Dutch settlement. They're just small, unincorporated named communities that are parts of larger townships. These are prized areas to the people of the locale.
