Is it me or does anyone find it odd that WPHT operates without a Program Director? You have the number 1 talk radio station in a major market (granted the market is hardly competitve in general talk) yet nothing but a sales guy is running it? Has CBS given up? Furthermore, they hire (well transfer from another market) a PD for WYSP and tell him, by the way, you also are responsible for this property too...and we all know what happened to him.
It would seem when radio is getting hammered on all fronts by new media, CBS would be doing everything possible to protect it's properties and grow its revenue and share in its major markets. But, I guess I'm wrong.
CBS, get out of the game if you don't want to play anymore. Sitting on the sidelines doing nothing is not the answer to your problems.
