I just noticed on the K Love station map that this is their new Eastern Long Island signal. Haven't heard about this from RadioInsight or elsewhere.
They're on the tower along with WHFM and WRLI in Southampton.Ok yes, and from the Radio-Locator page above, there is no former call sign history and the format is "unknown" making this look like a brand new signal.
I also noticed their antenna is quite low at the site (33 feet) so maybe they used the very bottom of the tower or even the roof of the tx building to get on the air.
Interesting how this license for a little island has this long delayed signal & of course its EMF (KLove Inc.) right out of the gate.
A sign-on of a new K-Love (or most other network signals) at the east end of Long Island is not newsworthy. Through the FCC reports, I've covered the acquisition of the CP in the FCC auction, signal modifications, and request of call letters. There is also another signal in the east end that recently began broadcasting, but is at extremely low power and is supposed to have its "official" launch shortly in WLNG's new sister 94.5 WLIE.I just noticed on the K Love station map that this is their new Eastern Long Island signal. Haven't heard about this from RadioInsight or elsewhere.
May I recommend using @Michi's FCCData.org. Unlike Radio-Locator, which is not fully accurate in how it covers signals (off-air CP's do not exist in their world), you'll see the entire facility record.Ok yes, and from the Radio-Locator page above, there is no former call sign history and the format is "unknown" making this look like a brand new signal.

Interesting that you're talking about me in the third person while I'm right here and could just ask...I mostly get my news from Lance from x.com which I check often and appreciate format change news or station sales when Lance knows before they are filed with the FCC. When a station files a license to cover license modification that information is available at fcc.today - your dashboard to the FCC Media Bureau which I check several times a day. So I understand why that does not necessarily need to be reported at radioinsight.com. But often just a license to cover does not mean the station is on the air. I would be interested if Lance knew if a new station was on the air and what format it signed on with including HD subchannel sign-ons, sign-offs, or format changes.
There is a lot of news not reported that I am interested in and I have to check this radio discussion site to find. For example, I just read about a new sign-on of 2 classical stations in Hawaii I would have liked Lance to report. I mostly only care about non-commercial radio and I think radioinsight mostly focuses on commercial radio unless it's big news. Also, Lance can't know everything so his site helps a lot in finding more radio news.
On the other hand, about half the news Lance reports on I have no interest in. I do not care about announcer news (this person retired, was fired, or left or was hired) which takes up at least half the site. I wish I did not have to see it and that it could be on a different website. I do not know why people want to know all this announcer news. Maybe it helps people in the radio business while my interest is just a hobby. I think Lance was possibly trying to take over that from other sources that have shut down.
At fcc.today, they recently gave an option to remove consummation notices. I like consummation notices unless there are a lot of them by an owner who only has a change of interest. At least we have the option to turn them back on. But I wish we could turn off renewal filings, CPR's, and EEO's. All those are annoying. I am probably leaving something else out I wish I could hide. I just want to see station sales, consummations, license modifications, license to covers, silent notices, and call sign changes.

I guess because I have never talked to you directly.Interesting that you're talking about me in the third person while I'm right here and could just ask...
