I have not seen any posts lately about poor WPVI reception. Is it still poor? Is this because people use a uhf antenna to get a low band vhf channel? I have a friend who just moved to Toms River from Vorhees. In a Vorhees apartment he used an indoor amplified set of rabbit ears and then tried and fm antenna but reception was poor. Now he moves to Toms River....puts a small old ragged vhf antenna in the attic and so far his reception is good. The fcc site for digital tv reception shows WPVI should be one of the strongest stations in Toms River. He just barely gets some NYC tv even though Philly and NYC are both 60 miles away. Any thoughts? Did the small power increase of WPVI make a difference?
Problem is WABC 7 in NYC is like WPVI, still on vhf at their original channel with poor reception. Another friend in S Plainfield says WABC 7 comes in good in the mornng but is gone at 11am everyday. Why? He uses and indoor amplified set of rabbit ears.
