WRKO

During the week, I would get rid of Lunch Money and make McPhee 3 hours. I don't actually think anything else needs to be changed (Jerry Doyle and Savage are locked into WRKO until 2013 I believe). On the weekends, WRKO should focus on more local talk shows and even national shows that are 3 hours in length. Get rid of the random one hour shows or run those in the morning before 10. Otherwise, I really like WRKO and think the station sounds great. Also interesting that WRKO has two women personalities handling middays (Laura Ingraham, who has a loyal fan base on the station and McPhee). I feel like that is really rare for a talk radio station. Here are my weekend suggestions:

Saturday:
1am-5am Red Eye Radio
5am-7am Paid Programming
7am-8am Wall Street Journal This Weekend
8am-10am Bill Kelly’s Financial
10am-1pm Larry Kudlow
1pm-4pm Todd Feinberg
4pm-7pm Avi Nelson
7pm-10pm Kim Komando or Leo Laporte
10pm-1am The Best of Laura Ingraham

Sunday:
1am-5am Red Eye Radio
5am-6am Paid Programming
6am-8am GardenSense
8am-9am Unconventional Wisdom Investment Show
9am-10am Rubino & Liang: Protecting Your Wealth Show
10am-1pm Pat Whitley’s Restaurant Review
1pm-4pm Jennifer Brien
4pm-7pm Bob Brinker’s Money Talk
7pm-10pm Pundit Review Radio
10pm-1am The Best of the Savage Nation

For the money they're paying Howie they'd want him for 4 hours not 3. And 6-7 pm is still rush hour, so why go syndie? (WTKK for now is, but they have yet to decide on a 6-10 host)

They're paid to run Lunch Money
Avi btw will be heard exclusively on Howie fill ins until Col. Hunt gets better (Col. had heart attack)

I like your ideas as well and agree with you. Good ideas, thank you for your ideas and thoughts. I agree as well with more local programming, you are right. Good thoughts. Anyone else care to add??

I believe 'BZ has her now.

good ideas also @Uncle Kaimbridge.
I was also going to mention her show on my ideas, but I was afraid I would get a bad reaction.
It's good that we all are thinking alike on this one.
As a matter of fact, for the Sunday schedule, I was going to say something like "Newhampshiredude" said
10am-1pm Jen O'Brien
1pm-4pm Todd Feinbergh
4-7pm "Money Talks" Bob Brinker
But in my case, I was going to say 7pm-10om "Pundit Review"
and 10pm-1am "24/7 Comedy Radio" (Citadel Media Networks) That was my only difference
Ours was slightly different, but almost the same.

I was also going to say. My secondary idea was going to say
Week
1am-5am Red eye Radio
5am-5:30am wall Street
5:30am-9am Tom and Todd
9am-Noon Laura Ingrham TRN Radio Network
Noon-3pm Americas News TRN Radio Network
3pm-6pm Howie Carr
6pm-9pm Michelle McPhee
9pm-Midnight Rusty Humphries
Midnight-1am Rusty Replay
That was my second and final idea
That's good that we all think alike on this one.
Let's hope that Entercom (WRKO) Program Management Personal take a look at some of ideas and try to make things better
anyone else care to respond, please do so and tell us your ideas?

Once again for the money they're paying Howie and for his fairly good performance I would highly doubt they would trim his show to 3-6 pm. McPhee could indeed work in a 7 pm time slot (7-10 maybe?) but they may feel it's best to have her on mid-day; listenership usually goes down after pm drive, though WBZ does have Dan Rea on (i.e., a local show). Their model of news by day,
talk by night works (does it ever! See ratings.)

>>Noon-3pm Americas News TRN Radio Network

I would doubt that too. They would put on progressive talk before they'd put on this; 12-1 they are getting brokered time money, and they feel McPhee is a good lead in to Howie. She was even interviewing Howie today about his book. Now, would I like, say, Dennis Miller 1-3 pm and then
they could put on McPhee at night? Possibly. Would it happen? Doubtful. Otherwise...
(I also would like the Sox simulcast on 93.7 but that also doesn't seem to be happening :) )

If money got tight at RKO I suppose they would put a syndie show on midday like America's News
(isn't that a morning show or are they doing a midday edition? A _national news show_...on a _delay_...?) but McPhee has just signed and I'd expect they'd keep her at least a year. But who knows.
