I am unfamiliar with local station management, so I am unable to make an informed opinion regarding what direction, if any, should be taken in the GM's office. I will, however, say a completely refocused local morning program is imperative. Formatically, Hot Adult Contemporary is on target and should remain in place as the current AC programming is already established, and has been for years, on WRMF.
A new aggressive focus should be implemented in the local sales department, complete with ongoing sales training for each sales staff member from the DOS all the way down to the newly hired rookie account executive, assuming this is not already being implemented. Sales is definately down in camparison to where it should be, and this is an area that needs immediate attention, otherwise Dean Goodman would not have gotten such a sweet deal on the acquisition price.
I'm sure all departments will soon be reviewed under the metaphoric microscope to determine the best immediate direction to take to improve the overall bottom line resulting in a new and improved WRMF.
