I heard Tom Kent verrrrrrrrry early this morning (as in 4am to 6am) on Oldies 103 following Wolfman Jack. I couldn't place the voice until I finally heard him ID himself a while later. Sounds like a couple of random hours of a show thrown into the 4am to 6am Sunday morning block. Only heard 1 or 2 call-ins and they sounded like southerners (Ed Wilkey?) but Tom did ID WODS/Oldies 103.3 several times within the show.
I actually wondered to myself at the time (keeping in mind I'm under the weather and not getting much sleep) if this 'Ed Wilkey" was really former Oldies nighttime voice Maurice Wilkey who was moved to off-air production a year or two ago when JJ was first moved to overnights to accomodate Karen Blake's arrival to afternoon drive. Maurice was heard here and there after that during the "mystery" 2 1/2 hour block from 11pm (immediately following Lost 45s) to 1:30am when JJ came in for his Sunday night/Monday morning shift. Probably not though. I'm sure there's a real Ed Wilkey somewhere down around Tuscaloosa or something. ;D
