As we all know, call letters are legally required at the top of the hour. There's no intentional "burying" going on.Eye The Ticker said:Quite right. Radio station call letters mean nothing these days... Many stations simply bury them at or near the top of the hour.

...
There's plenty of intentional burying that happens, and it's been happening for DECADES.

Disagree. The station can build an audience and its brand identity on the strength of the music and imaging it's playing now. It's perfectly on target, uncluttered and easy to listen to. Potential listeners are undoubtedly still just finding out about the station at this point and anyone who likes this genre of music is going to put it on a preset. There's plenty of time to add airstaff. In the long run it's not going to hurt the numbers at all if it takes 3 weeks or 3 months as long as they ultimately put the right talent on the air.
Theater of My Mind said:Again, not everyone is engaged with radio as we are on this message board. Most of the potential audience probably doesn't even know the station exists yet.
I've been listening to the stream a lot lately, and in my opinion, the imaging is very smart and sincere. It doesn't sound "low budget" to me. It appears to be slowly ramping up.Disagree. Don't wanna listen to a low budget jukebox. Airstaff is important than the lousy annoucements at the moment.
