WRXP flips to Sports

Jets, Knicks and Rangers fans should blow up 'RXP! NBA and NHL playoffs are here and those two teams are stuck on directional 1050. The Jets radio sitauation is a joke! I'm almost certain they're the only NFL team on a directional AM!

The Jets are also one of four NFL teams without an FM flagship. The others are the Giants, Chicago and Denver, all of whom are on 50 kW AM blowtorches. :)
 
Yes, especially considering CBS feels it necessary to put Giants games on FM so often and that 1050 has a poor signal, Jets fans truly are under-served radio-wise.

If Nirvana and Pearl Jam make you "want to puke", you shouldn't be listening to Alternative radio lol

Asking an Alternative station to get rid of Nirvana and Pearl Jam is like asking a pop station to get rid of GaGa and Katy Perry

Last season, only one Giants' game, a pre-season game, was on 101.1 FM. One or two other pre-season games aired on 880 AM, since the Yankees weren't playing on those nights. Every regular season Giants game aired on 660 AM, with overlapping late-season Mets games moved to 1130 AM.

The Jets have a strong FM affiliate in Ocean County, NJ, WCHR 105.7 The Hawk out of Manahawkin. That's fine if you're in Ocean or Southern Monmouth Counties. In much of NJ and LI, 1050 is hard to get, especially late afternoons and nights.

The smack-talkin' Jets think of themselves as NY's #1 NFL franchise and they're on a directional AM station? That's all the more disgraceful given that the Jets play in the #1 media market! :)

And thats why I have Sirius,so I dont have to deal with FM's downfalls.
I like RXP cause it does dare to play different songs here and there,but they need to trash the old and ratty music!
Play more new music!
