WRXP PD is out!

Ok, well CD 101 has been in the mid to upper 1's for the past year, cc's station has not affected their ratings.

OK, so a "non-factor" is beating CD101 in the Alternative arena in Columbus. "Whatever!"

It can, and is being done in cities all over America. It's really a matter of what NY wants. Nothing happening anywhere else in America matters. What does NEW YORK need?

That's all that need be addressed.

But Rock radio does work. When done correctly.
 
I guess they did the same thing with Jim Ryan being gone from WLTW's "Lite-FM" last week courtesy of the CC Joker with Batman & Robin at their side.

With Blake Lawrence has completely let go from WRXP, he has been a PD of CD 101.9 when it was WQCD as "Smooth Jazz" at the time prior to the flip. With the ratings going down the toilet, WRXP (New York City's next incarnation of both WXPK's "The Peak" and WDST "Radio Woodstock") is getting ready to have a new PD in the wings soon.

the Emmis Brothers will find out the mystery of the WRXP's new PD to solve. Tune in next time for another episode of why WRXP goes haywire!
 
What the heck is the difference between 'Active Rock, 'Alternative Rock', and 'Modern Rock'. Sounds like all the same crap to me.

who the f... cares about cc and their cookie cutter crap...the fact is they are not even playing the same music (you are comparing apples to oranges) and with CD 101's ratings UNCHANGED..they are NOT beating them..

Although this really should be a "Columbus" thread......
The fact of the matter is that CD101 did get slammed pretty hard in the key 18-34 male demo.
12+ numbers are deceiving....and mean virtually nothing.

When you consider the fact that they had lost .5 getting to where they were before they gained .4 ......yeah!

Actually it was a serious question. I don't care what kind of music the station plays, I can get smooth jazz on XM. People like to throw around terms they can't even define on this board.
 
My opinion alternative and modern rock are similar active is just plain rock like seether metellica korn mudvayne would be active and alternative would be foxboro hottubs plain white t's coldplay modern would be like match box 20 alanis morrissite lenny kravitz coldplay could also be considered modern.Modern would be a hot ac. this is my opinion now alt and modern are kinda similar well all 3 share alittle cross over not much at least they are not suppose to much if properly programmed and then active has a whole set of tunes they play on there own.

12+ is not applicable. Do you understand that?
NO ONE looks at 12+ numbers. Measuring anything by that is absurd.

Even with the .4 increase 12+.....the fact that they were beaten pretty easily in their target M18-34 demo means they actually had a BAD book, and are LOSING in the battle against CC's crap.
