Speaking of San Diego, 'RXP could learn something from KBZT (FM 94.9) because its format most closely resembles that of the former, especially on holiday weekends, but is much stronger in the ratings than the former.BUMP!

Why would CC flip Power? It's still a strong performer, and yes, it often does beat Hot 97, the "heritage" hip-hop station in the market. CC would be foolish to give that up for something that isn't guaranteed to do as well.
If CC had an underperforming station that had ratings in the K-Rock or RXP territory, I'd suggest giving new rock music an attempt. But not when they already have five very strong stations in the market.
