I need to get this off my chest! Most people on this radio board sit here, and complain about radio not giving people opportunities

… I am another one of those “college kids” doing news at WSAR- and I love it. – Keri opened the door for me. Why? Because she understands, that someone needs to start somewhere. For heaven stake, why don’t you people give up on “bashing” Keri??? – Since you all are so called “radio people” why don’t you comprehend the fact when you are on the air, you’re a different person. – What do you think? Do you honestly think Keri is running up and down the WSAR halls screaming? Do you think Keri is sitting at her desk looking for someone to yell at? NO.. NO and NO. – She is completely different off the air.- But I will stop there… because you frekin idots would “ assume”… its Keri posting this…

I feel for most of you right now…. I truly do… I actually feel bad! I have some advice for most of you who want to “bash” WSAR…. And “bash’’ the staff …

1) If you want to personally bash Keri ,Myself, Eddie, or Mike and The “ college kids doing news”… Why don’t you call us? Why don’t you man up?.... Why don’t all you people who seem to know so much about WSAR get a freaking “ job”. Wait….. You’re unemployed.

2) Do be jealous. - Don’t be jealous because when you were in college you didn’t have the same opportunity. KERI gave us. –

3) Stop calling WSAR a “dump”… All these people who “worked” at WSAR recently are not working at WSAR for a reason… Besides… “Who the hell are all these people who “recently worked at WSAR?”.. Unlike most radio stations… WSAR isn’t a revolving door.

4) On the pay…. If you think, I am going to tell you how much I am making… “Get Bent!”- I am making more money than most college kids- working in promotions, and handing out bumper stickers at other radio stations. (The competition out there is fierce, people our age would die for such an opportunity, and most of you who comment, and look back at people’s history all day- would also die for the opportunity)

5) What makes you think; I would degrade myself, and resort to such a low standard by signing myself under another name. I tell it how it is, and NOT afraid to confront you. But I think you are afraid to confront me………..

FINALLY, “Hotmanlarry” ; what do you mean by? “ponte = Keri’’… Is this who I think it is? “Use to work at WSAR?... hmm…. Why don’t you identify yourself?.. Or is it a big secret?... Your going to continue your slander toward Keri and us all right?


It amazes me… and really gets under my skin that you “ losers’” sitting at home all day long have the “ freaking” time to sit there and look at people’s history. I have no idea who WIZZ is. I’M CLIFF PONTE… ok! WOULD IT BE BETTER IF I CHANGED MY NAME?


Here is my word to you… As mentioned, the competition is fierce people would die to be in my position right now. – You are either sitting at home all day long.. looking for a job on allaccess.com; or you are just jealous that WSAR is growing to be truly Number ONE in Bristol County…

Barry Richard = Number One in midday…. ( I saw the ratings)

Keri= Number one in the afternoons ( I saw the rating’s)

So you tell me why all of a sudden in the very same week, multiple accounts are registered and why they are all posts from people who claim to work at WSAR? Why are you all coming out of the woodwork at the exact same time? Did you have a meeting of the minds and all decide to post at once? Are you guys out of your mind? Well, lets see , there are 2 books...new bedford/fall river, and providence ,wsar leads in neither....looks like WBSM is the AM leader in the new bedford/fall river book , especially some higher end demo's...and in providence, well WSAR doesn't come close....what book are you looking at?...the one from 1928?

Wow.... you sure make a lot of assumptions. All of them wrong! The email I've been getting from people on this board ARE NOT from people I have worked with. THEY ARE from respected people in the industry. You would know them well.

#2. Obviously I am having an effect on people by what I say. Trust me..... I don't believe that I should have any effect at all seeing that I just post some silly comments. But judging by the mail I get and judging by how Yorke had a meltdown directed at me a couple months ago, "tells me that I have an effect." Keri Rodriguez emailing me about my posts "tells me that I have an effect." Jimmy Grey sending me notes regarding my posting his air checks and thanking me for my support "tell me that I have an effect!"

You might not like me wknd92, but it doesn't change the fact that I obviously have an effect. The biggest effect would be on YOU........ because YOU can't seem to stop talking about me!

Yeah he seems like a nice guy. Very friendly and Polite. I've got more tapes of him somewhere. I told him that I would post more as I came across them. He said he's got more than 500 hours of scoped air checks from 1969-1992 but has no technological knowledge to do what I did. So he mentioned it being very refreshing to hear what I posted here and told me that he really appreciates my efforts and comments. Jimmy couldn't have been any nicer of a guy.

Give Keri the credit she deserves will ya.

I have never heard her on the radio, but she and I used to email all the time when she posted on the radio-info boards. She decided she wanted to do radio at a young age and did what she had to do to make it her career.

I bet she and I would not agree on many things, but she has done pretty well at getting WSAR on the map and exposing some things that needed to be brought to light. If radio wasn't self destructing she might have been in a larger market by now, but that's for another thread.

I wish her, and her family all the best.
